Welcome to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Citizen's Online Police Reporting System.

Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free.

If any of the following are true, DO NOT USE this system.

Instead, please request that a Sheriff's Deputy respond to your location within Douglas County by calling (303) 660-7500.

  • You have suspect information (except Gasoline Theft)
  • A person was injured
  • You have identifying suspect vehicle information (license plate number, etc) (except Gasoline Theft)
  • The incident involved other crimes not listed below
  • There was a witness to the crime
  • County property was involved

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office strives to make reporting a criminal offense as convenient for our citizens as possible. The Citizen Offense Reporting instructions are shown below.

Upon completion of this report process you will:

  • See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.
  • Be given a police report case number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

Please Note:

  • All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.

The information that you document on the report and submit to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office is of an official nature and will be processed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office as an official Sheriff's Office criminal offense report. By submitting information contained in the report to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office you are making the following representation:

I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ANY INTENTIONAL FALSE STATEMENT, MISSTATEMENT, OR INACCURACY MAY BE A VIOLATION OF C.R.S 18-8-114, OR 18-8-502, 18-8-503, 18-8-504, 18-8-505 OR OTHER STATUTES AND MAY RESULT IN CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

You may ONLY report on the following types of crimes:

Gasoline Theft

Use this form if someone stole gasoline by filling and driving off from a gasoline merchant and the value of the gasoline was less than $1,000.00.


Theft

Use this form if someone intentionally stole an item(s) that belongs to you or to your company with the intent to never return it and the value of the item(s) is less than $1,000.00


Criminal Trespass to Property

Use this form if someone trespassed on your or your company's fenced or signed property (2nd Degree) or if someone trespassed on your unfenced or unmarked property (3rd degree)


Criminal Trespass to Vehicle

Use this form if someone enters your vehicle without permission.


Criminal Mischief

Use this form if someone damaged the property that either you own or that your company owns and it is valued at less than $1,000.00.


Criminal Tampering

Use this form if someone tampered with yours or your company's property with the intent to cause inconvenience or annoyance, but there was no real damage, e.g. "T.P.ing" your home, etc.


Missing or Lost Property (not stolen)

Property that belongs to you or to your company is missing or lost and it is valued at less than $1,000.00.


Financial Crimes/Fraud/Identity Theft

Use this form if someone has used your name or personal information or your financial transaction device (i.e. credit card, checks, etc.) to obtain goods or services.


Accidents

Please use this system to report accidents that occurred while the Douglas County Sheriff's Office was on accident alert. Accident alert means that due to the large number of accidents, deputies are unable to respond to minor, non-injury accidents usually associated with bad weather. To find out if the location in which your accident occurred within Douglas County was on accident alert, please call Douglas County Sheriff Dispatch at 303-660-7500. You may also use this system to report accidents that occurred on private property or for accidents in which an officer wasn't able to respond to the scene.


Animal Control

Use this form to report barking dogs or animal neglect.
