Vehicles impounded by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be released only to the registered owner or authorized agent of the owner, and only during normal business hours, Monday through Friday (except legal holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Documents establishing ownership, identity, and vehicle registration must be provided to Westside Towing, and full payment of all towing, impound, and storage fees must be made directly to Westside Towing in accordance with their policies. Contact Westside Towing directly to arrange release of the vehicle.
Vehicles impound with a police hold are taken to a secure storage facility operated by the sheriff's office. Contact the detective handling your case to determine when your vehicle will be available for release, and the procedures for securing its release.
