The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office contracts with Swanson Services as the commissary vendor for those individuals incarcerated at the Douglas County Detention Facility. In addition, the inmates are offered the opportunity to purchase additional commissary items from the Chuck Wagon service. The Chuck Wagon service is an ala carte program offered to the inmates for additional food items. Swanson Services can be found at www.swansons.net. In an effort to assist the family members of those incarcerated, Swanson offers the following options to place money on an inmate account:
The family can make deposits anytime by going to www.govpaynow.com. The family member will simply use a debit or credit card. The family will need the inmate’s name, Global Jacket Number and location to deposit money on the inmate account. In addition, the family member will need the pay location code. The pay location code for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is 5500. The minimum deposit is $25.00 and the maximum deposit is $100.00. The transaction fee is 4.5%. The minimum fee for this transaction is $4.50. The maximum weekly deposit using this option is $200.00.
The other option for www.govpaynow.com is to call 1-888-277-2535. The family member will need a credit or debit card. In addition, the family will need the inmate name, Global Jacket Number and location of the inmate. The family will need to know the location code of 5500. The transaction fee for the telephone option is 6.0% or a minimum of $6.00.
The family can complete a deposit to an inmate account in our lobby at the Sheriff’s Office located at 4000 Justice Way Castle Rock, Colorado 80109. The family can use a lobby kiosk and make a selection for either cash or a credit card. The family can look up the inmate by name and date of birth or by entering the inmate's Global Jacket Number at this location. The transaction fee for this location is $3.25 for depositing cash with a limit of $500.00. The transaction fee for this location is $4.95 using a credit card with a limit of $100.00. If the family uses a debit card the transaction fee is $2.50 with a limit of $500.00. Please be aware that the name on your credit card and driver’s license must match each other exactly.
