When an inmate is booked into the detention facility, an inventory of their property to conducted as part of this process. Personal items not allowed in the housing units is placed in a locker that is secured with a lock. U.S. currency at the time of booking, is deposited into an inmate account under the arrestee's name. No personal or company checks will be deposited. Inmates are not allowed to transfer funds from their account to another inmate's account.

The funds in the inmate's account are available for their use to purchase a variety of services available within the detention facility. These services include:

- booking/bonding fees

- photocopying/notary fees

- commissary

- medical/dental co-pays

- pay fines or court costs

- haircuts

- work release fees

At any time during an inmate's stay, family and friends may deposit funds into the inmate's account. These funds must be in the form of cash or money orders only. Sending cash through the mail is highly discouraged.

If an inmate is indigent, they can earn funds by working as a Pod Worker. If assigned as a pod worker, the inmate can earn $1.00 per day during the week of their assignment.

Upon release, any remaining funds will be returned to the inmate in the form of an institutional check only.
