Region 5 - Alerts and Warnings Area
Boundaries: North boundary is the North County Line; East boundary is the east boundary of Chatfield State Park and the west boundary of the Highlands Ranch Community Association's Open Space Park; South boundary is encompasses residents on both sides of Hwy 67 until the Pike National Forest boundary; West boundary is the Platte River and the southeastern half of Chatfield Reservoir and then follows the Pike National Forest east boundary.

Douglas County Emergency Management will determine on an as needed basis information that will be disseminated through the alert and warnings subscription service.
This system will only be used in situations requiring notification to the public of impending emergencies/disasters. This system will not be used as a tool for routine notification of impending severe weather or other routine information. The Office of Emergency Management will monitor all potential emergency situations within Douglas County and will, when deemed appropriate, make a decision to use of the emergency Alert System.
