Boundaries: North boundary is the south edge of District 7; East boundary is the Elbert County line; South boundary is the El Paso county line also knows as Furrow Road; the West boundary is Interstate 25.

Douglas County Emergency Management will determine on an as needed basis information that will be disseminated through the alert and warnings subscription service.
This system will only be used in situations requiring notification to the public of impending emergencies/disasters. This system will not be used as a tool for routine notification of impending severe weather or other routine information. The Office of Emergency Management will monitor all potential emergency situations within Douglas County and will, when deemed appropriate, make a decision to use of the emergency Alert System.
This service is not intended to repeat information disseminated by the National Weather Service or other commercial weather notification web sites and other media sources.
