DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – On November 25, 2016 at approximately 1:50 p.m. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received reports of an automobile accident involving a Colorado State Patrol Trooper on northbound I-25 at Tomah Rd, just south of the Town of Castle Rock.
The Colorado State Patrol Trooper was struck and killed by a passing vehicle while investigating an unrelated accident at that location.
At the request of the Colorado State Patrol, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit responded to the accident and is currently conducting the investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
