Juvenile Arrests

Juvenile Arrests

Juveniles are never taken to the county jail to be booked. Instead, deputies take juveniles who have been arrested to the Juvenile Assessment Center or JAC, located at 9700 E. Easter Lane in Centennial, Colorado  80112.

To contact the Juvenile Assessment Center please call 720-213-1320.

At the JAC, staff will book the juvenile into the criminal system and take fingerprints and photographs.

After booking, staff will talk to the youth and assess what’s going on with them. Then, staff will recommend services, such as drug treatment or behavioral management, to help them get back on the right path.

If the charges are not serious, such as a curfew violation, the juvenile will be released to a parent or a guardian.

If the charges are serious and the youth is between the ages of 10 and 18, they will be taken to the security Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center, located at 13500 E Fremont Avenue in Centennial, CO 80112. The juvenile will stay there while they wait for a court appearance.

To contact the Marvin W. Foote Center please call 303-768-7596.
