The VOICE Program is used when an offender is booked into jail or released from jail.

VOICE Information Sheet

Your local correctional authorities will notify the victim of changes of status of the accused prior to the final disposition in the case.  Changes of status of the accused may include:

  • Booked into custody
  • Released from custody
  • Transfer of prisoner
  • Escape of prisoner

The VOICE notification system is an automated system that will contact the victim at a phone number or numbers provided by the victim to the responding officer, to the Victim Advocate, or to the local jail.  If you receive a call from VOICE, you need to follow the instructions and enter your PIN number.  Unless the victim has provided an alternate number, the PIN will be the last four digits of the victim’s social security number.  This PIN number can be changed.

If VOICE leaves you a message, you can call VOICE at 720-344-4667, enter your VID# and PIN# to receive information.  You can also access VOICE through the Internet at:

             https://www.csoc.org/~voice

Select Victim Login on the web page.  You will need your VID# and PIN# to access your information on the internet.  If you have been assigned a VID#, it is available through your local jail or Victim Assistance Unit.  Please call 303-660-7535 if you have concerns or problems.

After conviction of a crime against a victim, if requested by that victim, your state or local correctional authorities will notify the victim of:

  • The institution where the person is incarcerated or otherwise being held
  • The projected release date of the person
  • Any release of the person, including furlough, work release, or community corrections in advance of release
  • Escape of the person
  • Any release or discharge from confinement of the person and conditions of that release
  • The death of the person while in a correctional facility or program

Upon request of the victim, correctional officials will keep confidential the victim’s or family’s addresses, phone numbers, places of employment, or other personal information.
