While most people are hunting for Easter eggs this time of year, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Community Safety Volunteers are hunting for something entirely different… Gate Codes. Many businesses, apartment complexes, and even private residents in Douglas County have gated entrances to their property. While this helps add to the feeling of security residents and employees have in these gated areas, gates can cause an obstacle during emergency situations. Providing your gate code information can help expedite the response of the Sheriff’s Office. Gate codes collected by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be used for official use only.
To register your gate code please go to http://www.dcsheriff.net and click on Gate Code Registration under Online Services. You can also register your gate code by completing the form below. The form can be returned in one of two ways. The form can be completed, printed, and mailed to the address specified on the form or the completed form can be saved, attached to an email, and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Community Service Volunteers will be leaving notices on gates across Douglas County asking residents to provide gate code information.
