On 02/23/11 at about 03:00 a.m. Douglas County Deputies responded to the 2400 block of Marlin Way in reference to a welfare check, upon further investigation it was determined to be a Double Homicide.
Douglas County Detectives continue to investigate this crime and Sheriff David A. Weaver has announced additional arrests have been made in the case of the double homicide of Amara Wells, 39 and Robert D. Rafferty Jr., 49. Krystal Kurcz was taken into custody on 04/13/11. Megan Cassidy was taken into custody on 04/15/11.

Both Kurcz and Cassidy have posted bond and are no longer in custody.
