NARRATIVE: Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies, Detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section working in conjunction with the Pattern Crime Unit (which consists of Detectives from Parker and Lone Tree Police Departments and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office), arrested A male Juvenile on 06/07/11 in connection with a series of burglaries occurring along the open space in Western Highlands Ranch.
On 06/07/11 Deputies and Detectives responded to the area of Cove Creek Dr, in Highlands Ranch on report of a Burglary that had just occurred. Citizens in the area where able to assist law enforcement with catching the male juvenile suspect who fled on foot and was apprehended.
The juvenile whose name and information is not being released was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC). This is still an ongoing investigation, however it is believed the juvenile is responsible for 5 burglaries starting in February 2011 and the sixth the night of his arrest.
Detectives are in the process of filing this case with the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and no other information is available at this time.
