Rock Climbing Instructor Arrested for Obscenity and Unlawful Sexual Contact
NARRATIVE: On October 27, 2011 the Douglas County Sheriff Office (DCSO) Investigations Special Victims Unit arrested Morgan Huston (29 YOM & Highlands Ranch resident) on charges of Obscenity (Class 6 Felony) and Unlawful Sexual Contact (Class 1 Misdemeanor). The investigation began earlier in the week when a DCSO School Resource Officer received notification of the alleged crime from a Douglas County School District (DCSD) counselor (Huston is not an employee of the DCSD).
Houston worked as a Rock Climbing instructor at Eastridge Recreational Center, in Highlands Ranch for the past five years. The victim was a female under the age of 18 and attended Huston’s instructional class on climbing.
Houston has been arrested and booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility and was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
