Douglas County Deputies Arrest Grandmother for Alleged Child Abuse
NARRATIVE: On 11/08/2011 at 8:50 am Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were contacted in the area of 3200 E. County Line Road in reference to, two young children (under age 5) walking in the area. Douglas County Sheriff’s Officer Deputies took custody of the children and searched the area to locate an adult responsible for the welfare of the children.
Deputies were able to locate the residence and the children’s Grandmother, Yolanda Borders, DOB 05/24/1969 of Highlands Ranch. Douglas County Sheriff Office Deputies along with Douglas County Human Services investigated the circumstances and released Yolanda Borders on a summons for Child Abuse.
The two children (along with another 16 YO) were taken into protective custody and are under the care of Douglas County Human Services.
