As I sat down to write this month’s letter for the Briefing Room I thought of all the bicycles that I have seen on our roads this early spring. They’re everywhere. Last spring I wrote an article on bicycle safety and reminded everyone of the new Colorado Revised Statutes regarding bicycle right-of-way – give em’ plenty of room. And the bikers are required to ride as far right as safety possible and avoid riding two or more abreast. In preparing for this month’s letter I looked on the internet for any new information or impressive statistics and I found a really super article entitled: “How to Not Get Hit by Cars” published by BicycleSafe.com. With their kind permission I have included a link to that article here: http://bicyclesafe.com/. This article doesn’t focus on the law it focuses on how to not get hit by cars. Important, don’t you think. I think you will find the article interesting and informative. Enjoy our great weather and beautiful county. And be safe.
