DOUGLAS COUNTY – At about 5:40am, the Douglas County Regional Dispatch Center received information from a motorist reporting they observed a suspect vehicle in reference to Denver Police Departments Amber Alert. The motorist was at HWY 83 and MM42 (South of Franktown). The Colorado State Patrol had a car in the area of HWY 83 and HWY 86, and located the suspect vehicle at HWY 83 and MM42. CSP attempted to make contact with the vehicle, but the suspect did not pull over. CSP and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office pursued the vehicle at low speed north bound HWY 83, just past North Russellville Rd (suspect averted stop sticks twice). At that location, the suspect then drove west into a crop field until the vehicle high centered into a ditch.
