DCSO detectives investigating two cases involving suspicious white van in or around Highlands Ranch

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to be aware that a white van with a suspicious-acting driver has approached two women within the last four days. The DCSO is investigating both cases.

The first young woman says a Hispanic male approached her near her home around the Northridge Park area of the Northridge subdivision in Highlands Ranch on July 16th at 1:45 in the afternoon and asked her to go with him. When she refused, he got in a white van and quickly drove away.

The second woman says a dark-skinned man put his arm around her waist in a parking lot at the Taco Bell at Blakeland Drive at Highway 85 in Littleton this afternoon, just outside of Highlands Ranch. She pushed him away and believes he left in a white van.

Neither woman was able to obtain the license plate of the vehicle.

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for public safety, the DCSO would like people to be alert and report any suspicious activity involving a white van and a dark-skinned male. Again, detectives are investigating both cases.
