Undersheriff Tony SpurlockBureau Chief Tony Spurlock is a Colorado native and has worked with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office since 1980.  He lives in Douglas County with his wife and children. He attended Metro State College and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 207.  Bureau Chief Spurlock has served as an instructor for the Colorado District Attorneys Council and County Sheriffs of Colorado.  He was appointed as Chair of the Colorado Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Board by the cabinet of Governor Bill Owens in 2001.  He has served as the chair of the 18th Judicial District Victim Assistance Law Enforcement Fund, which provides training funds to non-profits and Law Enforcement agencies in the 18th Judicial District. He was named Officer of the Year by the 18th Judicial District in 2002.  Bureau Chief Spurlock served as the SWAT Commander for five years.  Additionally, he has been the leader of the Critical Incident Team of the 18th Judicial District. While serving as Bureau Chief, he will oversee the operations of the Detentions and Support Services Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.
