The purpose of the Internal Affairs is to ensure the integrity of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office through the objective and intensive investigation of allegations of police misconduct.
The Internal Affairs Section receives commendations and complaints. By acknowledging exceptional performance and commendable conduct, we promote ethical and professional behavior among our employees.
We thoroughly and objectively investigate any allegations of employee misconduct. We strive to ensure that citizen concerns are taken seriously and a thorough and impartial investigation will be conducted.
