ACCIDENT REPORTS FOR CRASHES THAT

OCCUR DURING “ACCIDENT ALERT” or “AFTER THE FACT”

If you were involved in a non-injury, minor traffic accident where there was no alcohol or drugs involved, during an accident alert time period and need to file a “counter report” you can do so by visiting the Colorado State Patrol’s website at https://crash.state.co.us/ and click on “File Accident Reports Online”. 

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office does not take counter reports.  You must go through the Colorado State Patrol to do this.  If you have further questions please call the Colorado State Patrol at 303-688-3115.
