Youth Education Program Coordinator – Phyllis A. Harvey

Phyllis has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 1990. She has a degree in criminal justice and has served at the agency in many different civilian positions to include management. She is a native of Douglas County who is highly committed to the citizens we serve. She is the primary liason working with the Douglas County School District and other entities to ensure the success of our youth programs. She is responsible for the coordination of all programs, keeping the programs in sync with current trends and the needs of our youth. Y.E.S.S. Instructors:

Deputies Martin and Walton bring to the new Youth Education Program many years of experience teaching the D.A.R.E. Program. Both of them have an extensive educational background, including Masters Degrees, Bachelors Degree in Education and Criminal Justice, and current Teaching Certifications. Their interactions with the Youth of the Community is not just about teaching how to resist drug, alcohol and peer pressure they also have built positive relationships with the Youth of the Community which will last a lifetime.
