Attempted Burglary Results in Shooting in Castle Pines

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – This morning at approximately 7:38 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 200-block of Green Valley Circle in Castle Pines. When deputies arrived on scene, they immediately set up a perimeter and canvassed the area. Deputies learned that a resident had been randomly shot at from individuals leaving the area in a white, single cab, Ford truck with a brown box in the bed. The victim was not injured and the suspect vehicle was not immediately located. One of the occupants of the truck may have been wearing an orange t-shirt.

Below is a picture of the actual suspect vehicle and similar wheel and truck decal:

 

The suspect vehicle above is further described as having older style wheels, a silver grill, small hubcaps, and a cardboard box in the bed.  It appears there is a large rust mark behind the rear driver’s door. The truck also has a hitch and faded 4×4 decal on the rear fender.

We need the public’s help in locating the suspects involved in this dangerous shooting. We are asking anyone who might have information about this incident or who can provide information on the above vehicle or its whereabouts please contact us at 303-660-7500. If this vehicle is seen do not approach and call 9-1-1.

This is an active and on-going investigation no further information is releasable at this time.
