DCSO Investigating Second Acid Device in Highlands Ranch Park

Douglas County deputies discover a device similar in composition to the one found yesterday at Dad Clark Park.

The new device was discovered at Marcy Park, 9377 Desert Willow Road in Highlands Ranch this early afternoon.

Douglas County Deputies have been stepping up patrols in parks to locate any suspicious devices and today at about 12:30 pm discovered another device.

The device vented and therefore did not explode and there are no injuries.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office patrol, bomb team, detectives and crime lab responded to the scene and continue to investigate both incidents.

The device is described a plastic bottle (acid type device), no additional description is being released at this time.
