Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search’s for Missing Person after Locating Abandoned Crashed Vehicle

On 11/17/14 2014 at 0818 am, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to an agency assist to Teller County Sheriff’s Office in the area of South Hwy 67 MM89 (near rainbow falls) to look for a missing person. The missing person was associated with an abandoned crash that Colorado State Patrol (CSP) had investigated at that location. CSP had been dispatched to an abandoned single vehicle crash. The vehicle had gone through a wire fence and came to rest hitting a tree.  The vehicle sustained minor damage and no one was with the vehicle. It was determined the vehicle was associated with Kathleen Ann Leber, 57 from Woodland Park, CO. Leber was reported missing from Woodland Park on 11/16/14 at about 8:30 pm.

As a precaution Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue has been dispatched to the location of the crash site to search the immediate area. At this time Leber has not been located and we would ask anyone with additional information to contact Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jason Weaver 303-660-7500.

Kathleen Ann Leber  is described as 5’07”, 115 pounds, Brown hair, Brown eyes

We do not have a photo of Leber and will send out an update upon obtaining a photo.
