Classes Begin September 15, 2015
The Douglas County Office of Emergency Management is proud to present this training to the public.
Following a disaster, community members may be on their own for a period of time because of the size of the area affected, lost communications, and impassable roads. The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) program supports local response capability by training community volunteers about the hazards they face and ways to prepare for them. The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) Program was developed to teach the basic organization skills that you can use to help yourself, your loved ones and your neighbors until help arrives.
The course curriculum will cover the following modules:
Emergency Preparedness | CERT Organization |
Fire Safety | Disaster Psychology |
Emergency Medical Operations – Part 1 | Terrorism and CERT |
Emergency Medical Operations – Part 2 | Course Review and Disaster Simulation |
