Home Security Helps Catch Vehicle Trespass Suspect in Highlands Ranch

DCSO deputies arrested a 22-year-old male during a traffic stop after he was identified through surveillance footage entering vehicles in Highlands Ranch.

On 10-11-19 deputies responded to a report of two separate vehicle trespasses. Deputies were given home surveillance footage which showed both crimes in progress. Based on the footage, they were able to get a good description of the suspect. A few days later, through the investigation, deputies were able to locate the suspect during a traffic stop.

On 10-16-19, Nikolas Aaron Holmes, age 22, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility and booked in on the following charges:
18-4-502 F5 1st Degree Criminal Trespass of Auto (2 counts)

He is currently being held on a $1,000 bond.

Below are two videos that were supplied by the citizens in the neighborhood.  This certainly helped identify the suspect and led to his  arrest.
