OLD NEWS–Douglas County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to find her

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies and Douglas County Search & Rescue (DCSAR) are looking for a 48-year-old woman who has been missing since 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Maria de Jesus Hernandez told her sister that she was going to lay down for a nap, but when her sister went to check on her, Maria was gone.

Deputies and volunteers with DCSAR are searching the area east of Highway 85 and north of Titan Road in Douglas County.

The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help to find her. Maria is from Texas, doesn’t have friends here and doesn’t know her way around the area.

She’s 48-years-old, has shoulder length gray hair and could be wearing a light colored jacket carrying a big brown purse. She’s wearing pants and tennis shoes that are gray and teal colored.

If you have any information about her whereabouts, please call dispatch at 306.660.7500.
Deputy Chad Teller, DCSO
