Two Arrested After Being Involved in Multiple Car Break-ins in Roxborough Subdivision

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO A male and female have been taken in custody after leading Douglas County deputies on an early morning chase after breaking into multiple cars as well as a burglarizing a garage in the Roxborough subdivision, in unincorporated Douglas County.

On July 24, 2020 at around 2:55 am, deputies responded to area of Dawn Dr in Littleton, (Roxborough subdivision) on report of two individuals walking down the street attempting to enter parked cars. As deputies were setting up a perimeter in the area, a black Ford Raptor was seen fleeing the area at high rate of speed, with no headlights on. Stop sticks were set up in the area and were successful, but the vehicle would not pull over for deputies. Deputies pursued the vehicle, which was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed, even after the vehicle was obviously disabled. Deputies were finally able to get the vehicle to stop just east of I-70 on 6th Ave. The Ford was confirmed to have been stolen out of unincorporated Summit County.

Two individuals were taken into custody without incident. No injuries to anyone involved to include deputies or the public.

“This is a perfect example of the message we want to send to the criminals out there; we will not allow you to come into our community and victimize our citizens. It is our job to catch those that are committing crimes, and we certainly did that”, stated Sheriff Tony Spurlock.

More information will be released when available.
