Crime Victims

We do everything we can to prevent crime, but sometimes bad things happen even to good people. You come home to find your front door wide open and your stuff missing. Or you go out to your car and it’s gone or something worse.

You feel sick inside. And overwhelmed. That’s only natural. This may be the first time you’ve ever dealt with the police. But we want you to know we’re on your side. That’s why the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has a wide variety of resources to help you put your life back together after you’ve reported the crime. (If you haven’t reported, click here and do it now.)

Here’s where you’ll find support and counseling for everything from property crimes and identity theft to auto accidents and physical assaults.

We’re sorry this happened; it’s not fair. But we’ll help you in every way we can.
