We Need the Public’s Help. Criminals Broke into at Least 20 Cars Overnight.

We Need the Public’s Help. Criminals Broke into at Least 20 Cars Overnight.

On January 30th, deputies were called to two different apartment complexes along Park Meadows Dr in Lone Tree, unincorporated Douglas County, when residents discovered that their cars had been broken into. It appears that Honda and Hyundai vehicles were targeted; many had the door locks punched.
Detectives believe the criminals started as early as 9:45 pm on January 29th. One of the suspects appears to be a white male with a thin build. The suspects were driving a silver or gray Kia Sportage, which was likely stolen.
If you have information about the suspects or the crime, please call Detective Tom Vondra at 303-784-7879 or email at tvondra@dcsheriff.net
Please be vigilant and report anything you see or hear that is suspicious to 303-660-7500.
This is also an excellent reminder to take all valuables out of your car; many crimes occur when the suspect sees something of value inside the vehicle and breaks in.
